Just in case you don’t know who you’re shopping from, hi! We’re Orange Umbrella Co., a small but mighty crew in Kentucky with a love of stickers, a shop full of personality, and a cat who is fairly certain she’s in charge.
Whether you’ve been filling your planner with our stickers for years or just found us, we thought it was time for a proper introduction. Behind your favorite sheets are real people designing, printing, cutting, and keeping this little shop moving. Here’s who you’re supporting when you shop with us!
Melanie: The Human Who Started It All

Hi! Melanie here, founder, sticker lover, and one of the humans answering to Spazz. I launched Orange Umbrella Co. in late 2013, though I’ve been selling online since way back in 2003.
OUC started with handmade paper goods for life’s special events. Then the planner obsession snuck in, we added stickers, and apparently decided that a reasonable number of sticker designs was simply not enough. These days, stickers are our favorite thing to make, and I get to do it alongside this wonderful crew.
Since 2016, our shop has called an old EMT building home. It looks a little like a firehouse, but our emergencies usually involve a misbehaving cutter or a bug Ashley would like removed immediately.
Ashley: Kits, Colorways, and Absolutely No Spiders

Ashley knows this sticker shop inside and out. She designs all of our kits, creates listing photos, and helps manage our ever-growing collection of sticker goodness. If you’ve fallen in love with a kit layout or colorway, there’s a good chance Ashley had something to do with it.
Her creative talents are many. Her willingness to share a workspace with spiders, crickets, or basically anything that moves? Considerably more limited. Thankfully, we have a designated department for that.
Jason: Mr. OUC and the Entire Bug Department

Jason is my husband, also known as “Mr. OUC.” He handles shop maintenance, lifts the heavy things, and bravely battles whatever unwelcome creature has brought production to a halt.
Every small business needs someone who can fix things and reach the stuff the rest of us would rather leave alone. Jason fills both roles, occasionally earning hero status just by relocating a cricket.
Lindsey: Printer and Cutter Wrangler

Lindsey keeps our printers and cutters moving, jumps into odds and ends, and helps with whatever project the shop sends her way. When the machinery misbehaves, she’s also available for stern lectures and the occasional very understandable temper tantrum.
Outside the shop, she’s a mom to two sons, an avid reader, and a sewing enthusiast who’s always up for trying another craft. She also leads middle school girls at church, so she has plenty of experience managing big personalities. The cutters remain her least cooperative group.
Amalie: You Can Call Her Millie

Amalie is our daughter and a high school senior who helps at the shop through her work credit program, as well as on weekends. Everyone calls her Millie except her parents. Apparently we missed the memo.
She’s obsessed with pink and Hello Kitty, so if the shop ever mysteriously gets a very pink makeover, we’ll know where to start our investigation. She’s also very involved in Hope Squad, supporting teen mental health and suicide awareness, and brings that same caring heart to our little crew.
Spazz: Management, Apparently

Spazz is our shop cat, official mascot, and queen of side-eye. She supervises production while doing absolutely nothing and judging absolutely everything.
Her duties include inspecting the humans, occasionally sniffing an outgoing package, and offering unsolicited opinions through facial expressions. We have yet to receive a written performance review, but her expression suggests there’s room for improvement.
Thanks for Shopping Small With Us
That’s our crew! A few humans, plenty of creativity, some conversations with machinery, and one cat with a management complex.
When you shop with Orange Umbrella Co., you’re supporting the people you’ve just met and the work we put into this little business. Every order helps keep our shop going, and we’re so grateful you choose to make us part of your planners, journals, and everyday life.
Thanks for being here and getting to know us a little better. 🧡
Best,
Melanie & the OUC crew
